Except for chocolate mice! These are just darling little treats for both adults and children alike. What makes them even better, they are easy to make. Once you gather all the ingedients, the mice only take about 10 minutes to make.
Makes about 2 dozen
Ingedients:
- 1/4 bag of Hershey chocolate kisses
- 1 small jar Maraschino cherries with stems
- 1 small bag almond slices
- 4 oz semi sweet, milk chocolate, or dark chocolate
- 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon water
Drain maraschino cherries in strainer.
Pick out 48 almond slices to use as ears.
Unwrap 24 Hershey kisses.
Place a sheet of wax paper on a cookie sheet.
Melt chocolate in a bowl in microwave. It usually takes about 1 minute to melt most chocolates but melt in 15 second intervals and stir each time, checking to see if chocolate has melted through.
Roll a cherry with tail in chocolate. Place cherry on wax paper. Put a Hershey kiss on the non-stem side of the cherry to make the face. Put 2 almond slices between the Hershey kiss and the cherry to make the ears. The chocolate binds it all together. Repeat for all 24 mice.
Mix powdered sugar with water thoroughly to make icing. Use the tip of a toothpick to dip into powdered sugar icing to place eyes on the mice.
Place the mice in the freezer for about 10 minutes to solidify chocolate.
Enjoy!
Those are hilarious!!! Thank You, Cheers and Merry Christmas! π
